Hi. I’m Doug. Doug Jenkins.
Since my last name is ‘Jenkins’, I thought I’d do a little study on my name. That lead me to the ‘kins’ ending, which lead to a lot of other names and words with the ‘kin’ and ‘kins’ endings. So, I’ve got a good bit of info on the ‘Jenkins’ name as well as the kin and kins endings. Fun stuff. (I recently found out that these pages I’ve created are actually used by Wikipedia as a reference for the ‘Jenkins’ entry!)
I’m studying Hebrew. It’s very fascinating and incredibly difficult. After about a year of fairly light but consistent study, I still feel like such a beginner. I love it. I’m starting to recognize a few words in their various formats, as I read the OT in Hebrew. Until recently, it’s just been a practice in sounding it out. Now, I’m starting to know what it’s saying!!! I can even type hebrew: אלהמ. (That’s Elohim.) I’m not yet sure how to get the vowel markings typed out. My Hebrew page lists a few websites that have helped me.
There’s also a few other links to my stuff on other sites, as well. Among other things, there’s a photo gallery, my genealogical information, a thoughts collection, a mobileme site with a few pages about me and my Dad’s WWII service in the South Pacific. (What a man. He’s 93!)
Thanks for visiting. I hope you enjoy this stuff!
